oops. i left out a whole verse typing
Descent
wrenched by pain,
shaking in bed
alone in a room
feeling half dead,
voices mount
to a salsa roar,
seven circles
on a red brick floor,
eagles surround
the Colombian sun,
and you rise to dance
to invisible drums.
In the seven branched dome
your feelings are calmed,
cooled in the shade
of a towering palm,
and hundreds of hands
in a tangle of love,
grace the descent
of a white dove. |
