Britain's International Gathering, 2002 [BIG2002]

Subud Britain hosts this summer's mini-World Congress in Derbyshire, England, from August 11th to 18th.
Site of BIG2002 - Mount St. Mary's College in Yorkshire, England
Ibu Rahayu will attend, as will members from all over the world. The full delegation of the World Subud Council (WSC) will be participating throughout. The event is being organized to cater for 1,000 people on a college campus - Mount St. Mary's College - in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales, a beautiful area of the English countryside.
In addition to a schedule of activities including entertainment from our finest artists, day trips and children's programs, this event is being designed to facilitate progress; both inner and outer, our own personal steps forward and those of our Subud association.
It will be a week of creativity and great fun.
More details will follow, but please note the dates in your calendars.

OFF TO THE OSCARS Hammond Peek, New Zealand Subud member and Zone 1&2 Treasurer, has just been nominated (in a team of four) for an Academy Award (Oscar) for the category "Best Sound" for "The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring". Hammond and his wife, Renata, are off to Hollywood for the Oscars on March 24th.
Congratulations and Good luck!
And good luck we have certainly had because Hammond has written a very entertaining article on his Lord of the Rings experience, which you can read by clicking 'read more'. (see below)

Ibu Rahayu Visits Vietnam for the first time

Ibu Rahayu visited the Subud members in Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon) in Vietnam from February 24th to March 2nd.
Many young members were present at the talks, testing and gatherings. Some were able to come on the day trip in boats up the Mekong river.

Emmanuel Williams invites submissions for a new book for young people
I've been moved to write a book for young people about sex. The book will be based on the question: Should I have sex with this person? - The assumption being that the couple in question aren't married. The aim of the book is not to try to answer this question for the reader, but rather to raise a number of issues, put forward a number of ideas, that will help the reader answer this question for him/herself.
